·          Experience Middle Egypt - we go off the tourist trail to the vast, empty landscapes of Tell el-Amarna

·          Four nights on a five star boat on the Nile plus internal flight to Abu Simbel included

"For me the whole Egypt experience was a long held dream come true, particularly the awesome monuments and the delightful Nile cruise."
 ...

Herodotus of Halicarnassus, the Greek historian who lived in the 5th century BC wrote:

“...not only is the Egyptian climate peculiar to the country, and the Nile different in its behaviour from rivers elsewhere, but the Egyptians themselves in their manners and customs seem to have reversed the ordinary practices of mankind.”

Egypt has been a source of wonder to travellers since at least the time of the Classical Greeks. Indeed, the ancient Egyptians themselves visited their ancient monuments - a New Kingdom graffito at Saqqara records a visit to the ruins of the Step Pyramid a millennium after its building.
