Professor John Prag
John Prag MA, Dip Class Arch, DPhil, FSA, Honorary Professor in The Manchester Museum and Professor Emeritus of Classics in the University of Manchester, was keeper of Archaeology at the Museum from 1969 until 2005, and is Honorary Research Fellow in Classics and Ancient History and Honorary Lecturer in Archaeology at the University. He has excavated and conducted archaeological research in several countries including reconstruction of the face on ancient skulls. He is author, co-author and editor of five books and around sixty articles on a range of archaeological topics.
