Travelling with Andante
Your first specialist interest holiday starts here
Bucket-list destinations, small groups, and expert guides all in one hassle-free holiday.
We’ve put together everything you need to know about travelling with Andante in one place.
What to expect from an Andante Holiday?
A passport to the past
Destinations worthy of any bucket-list; see behind the scenes, visit excavations and get a view usually only available to experts. We make getting you there easy too, with organised group flights, but if you’re coming from a different country or you’d just like to make your journey more convenient, fly out early, or stay a few extra days after we can accommodate you accordingly.
Specialist interest travel for everyone
Archaeology, architecture or even art history, in a world with such a variety of culture, our mission is for you to experience it and become enlightened and inspired with unstuffy and passionate tours. We prepare intimately planned itineraries and do our best to search out and take advantage of everything a country has to offer, sometimes a local festival, market or even an invitation to a current excavation.
Meet fascinating people from all walks of life
You’ll feel that you are travelling with friends, all with one thing in common. Our small tour groups provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to get to know each other from breakfast to supper and even in the bar afterwards.
A holiday, not a study tour!
Most Andante tours are all-inclusive so you can relax in hand-picked hotels and enjoy excellent local food, knowing that everything is taken care of by your onsite tour manager, after all, discovering restaurants and local cuisine is one of the joys of travelling! We don't forget some free-time for you to explore at your leisure either, so you can really get to know the countries you visit.
Still have questions?
What level of knowledge do I need?
None! All you need to enjoy an Andante holiday is enthusiasm. All sorts of people travel with us - from experts to amateurs to the merely curious!
Are your tours suitable for single travellers?
Yes, and you won’t be alone! We have single places available on all our tours. Many friendships (and even the occasional romance) have been formed on tour over the years!
How do I book?
Online or over the phone, whichever is easier! Our friendly well-travelled customer service team, both in the UK and US, are on hand to answer any questions you may have. Secure your booking with our deposit scheme and pay the balance 12 weeks before departure*. After this we’ll contact you with the group travel arrangements, hotel details, programme and destination information. One month before your holiday, we will send out final travel documentation.
Do I need a visa and vaccinations?
Some countries do require a visa, British passport holders can check here, otherwise, it is your responsibility to check with the relevant embassy whether a visa is required. We recommend checking with the Department of Health or your doctor for the latest requirements on vaccinations. All of our tours are at least moderately active, the level of walking varies from tour to tour, however, if you do have concerns about your fitness do give us a call and we will be happy to advise.
