If you’re looking for a European break with a difference, why not book yourself a place on our 2018 tour of Malta & Gozo?

Valletta, Malta

With two departures to choose from, you can experience the glorious country in April, when the weather is pleasant, or you could select our October adventure, which will be a little balmier.

The country’s capital, beautiful Valletta, was named the 2018 European Capital of Culture and we will have adequate time in the city to explore its many treasures. The city’s cultural programme that was created to celebrate this impressive honour began at the beginning of this month, but will run all year in varying artistic capacities, from storytelling events and open days that showcase its captivating historical spaces, to street performances.

Valletta itself features on some of the most revered lists of where to visit in 2018, including those published by the likes of Lonely Planet and CNTraveler, and it has also played host to filming sessions for the much loved HBO series, Game of Thrones.

Both departures will be led by our expert lecturer and British archaeologist Jeremy Bennett, who is currently studying for his PhD at Cambridge University, examining Maltese agricultural terraces.

Other highlights on this tour include exclusive access to the Ta’ Cenc prehistoric temple, which boasts dolmens and passage graves, as well as visits to numerous other fascinating temple sites around both islands.

Indulge in regional cuisine, discover the rich history that can be found here and enjoy the comforts of our 5* hand-picked hotel throughout the duration of this wonderful tour.
