Our day starts at the tiny island of Torcello. During our time here we explore the breathtaking interior of the Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral. We also visit the Santa Fosca and the Archaeological Museum. This afternoon, we make our way to the nearby Venetian island of Murano. Here we will tour the legendary glass factory and museum.

Today we travel to the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, where we enjoy incredible views over this beautiful area from its church. Next, we admire the Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, which is notable for housing impressive Renaissane artworks. We continue on to the Scuola Grande Di San Rocco. After lunch at a traditional osteria, we walk via the Rialto Bridge to San Giovanni e Paolo - a stunning Italian Gothic church that houses interesting funerary monuments and paintings. Our final visit of the day is to Santa Maria dei Miracoli, an incredible church with a glorious marble interior.

Day 4

This morning we tour the magnificent Doge’s Palace, a marvel of Venetian Gothic architecture. Our special tour here offers an unique insight into the political and civil history of the Venice Republic. After lunch, we move on to visit the Archaeological Museum and Correr Museum, home to enchanting exhibits on Venetian history. This evening we enjoy a very special private tour of the legendary St. Marks Basilica.

Day 5

We begin our day with a glorious walk that takes in San Giorgio dei Greci, a church with a classically Venetian exterior and striking paintings inside. Next, we visit the Scuola Grande di San Giorgio, where we see panels painted by Vittore Carpaccio between 1502 and 1507. We then continue on to the Venetian Arsenal to view the gate. After lunch, we view San Pietro in Castello, the city’s first cathedral.
