Day 1

Enjoy free time at our hotel upon arrival.

Day 2

We start our day with a visit to Kamiros, a well-preserved Hellenistic city blessed with spectacular views, which was destroyed by a devastating earthquake in AD 142. This afternoon, we head to the Acropolis of Ialyssos to admire the Temple to Athena Polias, along with the medieval monastery of Filerimos.

Day 3

Today we visit Lindos, which is dominated by its dramatic Acropolis. Here, we visit the Temple of Athena Lindia, the Hellenistic walls and the stunning Propylaea. In the afternoon, we have free time to explore the picturesque modern village of Lindos.

Day 4

Rhodes was occupied by the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem for two centuries before the Ottoman conquest. Today we will visit the Jewish quarter and the Kahal Shalom Synagogue, once a thriving part of the city and now a reminder of recent tragedies. Later, we explore the medieval monuments that have given the city UNESCO World Heritage status, including the Palace of the Grand Master and a plethora of churches.

Day 5

This morning, we visit Rhodes’ Acropolis, dominated by the Temple of Athena Polias, and the impressive remains of an odeon and a stadium. Next, we visit Rhodes’ Archaeological Museum, housed in the splendid Knights’ Hospital.

Day 6

After breakfast, we make our way home.
