Pieta Greaves

Pieta is the Hoard Conservation Manager, joining team in 2013. Prior to the Staffordshire Hoard Pieta has worked on some of the most important archaeological assemblages from Scottish sites excavated in the last few years; including the dagger burial at Forteviot, the Viking burial from Ardnamurchan, the wooden lyre bridge from High Pasture Cave as well as the Roman altars from Inveresk. Pieta is also an experienced field archaeologist and is fully conversant with recovery of artifacts in all kinds of conditions. Pieta became an accredited member of Icon (The Institute of Conservation) in 2011.
