Edward Bispham

Edward Bispham is a scholar of wide interests. Currently Lecturer in Classics at Oxford he is also a fellow of Brasenose College. He has been closely involved in classical archaeology in Italy, and was co-director of the Sangro Valley project, a multi-disciplinary examination of prehistoric, classical and later settlement in the beautiful Abruzzi in Italy. He has directed excavations at Monte Pallano and San Vincenzo al Volturno and has a continuing interest in Latin and Italic epigraphy and the archaeology of the Roman Republic and its interaction with the pre-Roman peoples of the peninsula.
