Boris Volodarsky

Boris Volodarsky spent seven years training as a gru agent in Soviet spy schools destined for an espionage career in the West.

At the end of the Cold war he brought his family to Vienna, where he now lives as a historian of espionage. He holds a PhD from the LSE, and frequently travels to London. A specialist in Soviet Intelligence operations during the Spanish Civil War, Boris is also an expert in modern Russian Intelligence methods and operations, on which he has written several books, including 'The KGB's Poision factory: From Lenin to Litvinenko' (2009).
