Stonehenge Offer

Today marks the launch of the British Museum’s fantastic new exhibition, The World of Stonehenge, which has been receiving five-star reviews all around following its preview.

It will run until 17th July 2022 and it showcases “the restless and highly connected age of Stonehenge – a period of immense transformation and radical ideas that changed society forever”. The exhibition is also home to some incredible artefacts, including “stone axes from the North Italian Alps, stunning gold jewellery and astonishing examples of early metalwork including the Nebra Sky Disc – the world's oldest surviving map of the stars”.

For those curious about the exhibition, there is a free online lecture hosted by curators Dr Neil Wilkin and Dr Jennifer Wexler that takes place on 24th February from 5.30pm – 6.30pm and you can book your place to attend virtually here.

As you’ll know, Stonehenge is a site dear to Andante’s heart because not only is it just down the road from our office, but it also featured on our very first tour back in 1985 as part of our Journey Through Wessex itinerary – and we have been going back ever since.

In 2022, we have a dedicated Inside Stonehenge Study Day, which offers a chance to step inside the inner circle before the site opens to the public.

To celebrate the British Museum’s World of Stonehenge launch, any booking on our Inside Stonehenge Study Day made between 17th February and 17th March will receive a free ticket to the exhibition. A booking for one person will get you one ticket, a booking for two people will get you two tickets, and so on.

Inside Stonehenge - Secrets of the Stones

This day-long experience offers a rare opportunity to walk inside the great stones settings, a privileged encounter with this iconic monument which has graced the British landscape for over 4,000 years. Walk the Stonehenge cursus, the magnificent round barrows on King Barrow Ridge and trace the avenue - the original approach to Stonehenge. Further ‘henge’ complexes at Woodhenge and Durrington Walls are close by, and we explore them in the expert company of Guide Lecturer Peter Berridge.

Book your place

To redeem this offer, simply make your booking on our Inside Stonehenge Study Day either online or by calling our friendly sales team on 01722 713800, and we’ll be in touch to arrange your tickets.
