Dr Tertia Barnett

Dr Tertia Barnett

Dr Tertia Barnett currently works for the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland, and is also an Honorary Fellow at the University of Edinburgh.

She is particularly interested in the rock art of Britain and North Africa, as well as the symbolic context of rock art and its relationship with the cultural changes in the lives of its makers. Tertia has conducted fieldwork projects recording and conserving rock art in regions as diverse as Libya and Northumberland, and is working to raise awareness of Scotland's rural past in her current role.
